Harnessing the Power of the Crowd
At Consensus Big Boards, we believe that the collective intelligence of a community is far more powerful than the opinion of any single expert. Whether it’s identifying the next NFL superstar, debating the greatest films of all time, or ranking the world's best cuisines, our mission is to provide a platform where every voice contributes to a definitive, data-driven "Consensus."
In a world of biased "Top 10" lists and paid influencer reviews, it's hard to find the truth. One scout might love a quarterback's arm strength but ignore his footwork. One critic might love a movie's cinematography but ignore its pacing.
We solve this by using Rank Aggregation. By combining hundreds of individual "Big Boards" into a single leaderboard, we filter out personal biases and statistical outliers. The result is a ranking that truly reflects the "Wisdom of the Crowds."
Users build their own personal Top 20 lists across categories like NFL Prospects, Movies, Gaming, and more.
We use a proprietary weighted system (similar to the Borda Count) where a #1 ranking carries significantly more weight than a #20 ranking.
As new users join and current users adjust their boards, the site-wide Consensus evolves in real-time, capturing the most up-to-date trends.
We take data quality seriously. Our platform utilizes official databases (including NFL prospect lists, TMDB for movies, and RAWG for gaming) to ensure every item on a board is verified. Furthermore, we employ advanced bot-protection and rate-limiting to ensure that every "Consensus" is built by real people with real opinions.
Consensus Big Boards is an independent platform. We are not paid by any of the brands, leagues, or studios featured on our site to influence rankings.
To keep this site free for our community, we participate in affiliate programs (such as Amazon Associates). This means that if you click on a link to purchase a book, game, or movie through our site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps cover our server costs and development time.
